Cross Cut - Fence Stop
Using the fence as a measuring device for repetitive cross cuts can bind the cut piece of wood, making a rough cut and possibly throwing the wood.
The proper procedure is to use a "stop block" on the fence that allows us to measure the cut without binding the piece that is cut off.
