I just love new inventions, especially when they solve old problems. How about the problem of just where to put that nail so that the large picture will hang just the way you want it? The invention is called 1st Mark and it was invented by a grandmother named Mille Null from Glasgow, Kentucky. She perfected the idea by cutting and pasting cardboard together. Then it took her a long time to get to patents, molds and packaging. Now she spends a lot of time trying to get the marketing to work, probably the hardest part of inventing.

How does it work? You hang it over the top of the picture frame on the back side and then catch the wire or other hanging device with a pencil. Slide the guide up into contact with the pencil and lock it into place. Now simply put the "T" on the wall where you want the top of the picture. (You could do all this measurement from the bottom of the picture if you needed to.) Put the pencil back on the guide and mark the wall. That is exactly where the nail goes. Then the levels incorporated into the gadget will help you to level it up. You can also use it to lay out a series of picture frames, all the same distance from each other. Just about any photo arranging you need on a wall. Each one with the first mark.

You can buy the 1st Mark here.

Good luck marketing it Mille.
